Over 150 slots on the floor

Over 150 slots fill the Charlottetown casino, both traditional reel slots and video slots. Every day they start at 11 a.m. Sunday to Wednesday they close at 1 a.m., and Thursday to Saturday at 2 a.m. Before a holiday visit, confirm the schedule on redshores.ca.

If you came for VLTs, none are listed for this floor. They sit on the gaming floor of the Summerside location, at 55 Greenwood Drive. No electronic table games, bingo or keno are listed for Charlottetown either.

The private table room

Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold'em and Baccarat are dealt in a private Table Games room. On Sunday it opens at 12 p.m. Monday to Thursday, the start is 4 p.m. On Friday and Saturday it is back to 12 p.m. Each day the room runs to close, and no closing time is posted.

Poker and roulette are evening games here. Poker runs Thursday and Friday from 6 p.m. and Saturday from 4 p.m. Roulette runs Thursday to Saturday from 6 p.m., and both go to close. This guide shows them as open from the start time while the slots are still open, and as not published after that. Racing on the screens

The Simulcast Theatre screens races from other tracks, and pari-mutuel bets can be placed on them. Its doors stay open every day, 11 a.m. through midnight. Holidays can shift that, so redshores.ca is worth a look before the drive to Kensington Road.

Outside is the Charlottetown Driving Park oval, established in 1888, home to the live harness racing. Its grandstand is climate-controlled and seats over 200 people facing the oval. Race dates, entries and results are posted on the racing pages of redshores.ca, so check there before planning a race night.

The Rewards Club card

  • Signing up for the Red Shores Rewards Club costs nothing. Anyone 19 or older can pick up a card at the casino's Rewards Club Desk in Charlottetown by showing valid government-issued photo ID.
  • On the slots, the card collects 1 point for every $2 played.
  • At the tables, points depend on how long you play and your average bet. Show the card to the dealer before play starts.
  • You can spend points at the slot machines or put them toward dining discounts. If a card sees no activity for 12 consecutive months, the account is deleted and the points are lost.
